27 SEP 2008    JOAN RAMON TARRAGO TRAVELS TO TORONTO

Jose Manuel’s personal strength coach for the past three years, Joan Ramón Tarrago, will travel to Toronto today after receiving an especial invitation by the Toronto Raptors and by Jose Manuel, to be present in the camp that the team will have in Ottawa during the first week of October. Tarragó has been the strength coach of Real Madrid, Joventud and Manresa and is at the present time the director of Altius, a well known Center for Personal Training in Catalonia.

   13 SEP 2008    CARREFOUR CAMP

In the facilities of "The Ravines" (Malaga), this morning has taken place the first Carrefour Camp. 400 children from the city of Malaga have attended the camp. José Manuel Calderón, along with the mayor of Malaga, has shared numerous basketball activities with them.

The camp, in all senses, has been a great success and José Manuel has stated his desires to repeat it in the next years.

In the ball of the FEXB the first José Manuel Calderón awards to the youngster teams were presented by Jose Manuel himself. The awards were presented to the Extremaduran clubs IES of Hervas and CP of La Coronada.

   12 SEP 2008    Reception with the President of Extremadura

This afternoon Jose Manuel Calderon and the rest of the Extremaduran Olympic athletes were welcomed by the President of the Junta de Extremadura, to congratulate them in the name of the Community. Jose Manuel showed his silver medal and commented that "it belongs to all Extremadura".
